CHURCH ADMINISTRATOR

Job Description

Seeking a Christian who is personable, engaging, motivated and self-directed to act as the Church Administrator for Delmar Reformed Church (DRC). Individual must be detailed, organized, energetic, multi-tasking, dependable, computer literate, and able to handle confidential and sensitive information. This person would oversee all activities of the main office, provide daily oversight of the church building and grounds, work with outside vendors and contractors, process payroll and prepare accounts payable, publish monthly newsletter, and supervise custodian and administrative assistant.

Qualifications

1.Must be personable and flexible

2.College graduate or equivalent work-related experience

3.Minimum 3 years of administrative office experience

4.Strong computer skills are imperative (PC, Word, Publisher, Power Point, Website and Facebook maintenance)

5.Proficiency in the use of standard office tools (copy machine, etc)

6.Strong organizational skills

7.Must be able to maintain confidentiality in all areas of church work (financial records, counseling situations and other private matters)

Job Duties include, but not limited to:

1.General Office Administration; oversight of all office work (weekly bulletins, correspondence, etc);

2.Organize and maintain church calendar (working with Pastor, team members, and committees for regular and special events);

3.Oversee the operation of the church building and grounds, work with outside contractors and vendors, serve as liaison between DRC and organizers of special events and regular tenants, prepare rental agreements, supervise maintenance, repairs and rental of church building and parsonage;

4.Prepare accounts payable for payment by church treasurer and prepare and submit semi-monthly payroll;

5.Update DRC Website and Facebook page, as needed;

6.Publish DRC newsletter, The Informer, which includes setting deadlines, receiving content from team members and timely distribution;

7.Supervise Custodian and Administrative Assistant;

8.Attend weekly staff team meetings;

9.Maintain confidentiality;

10.Liaison with local businesses, Town government and Chamber of Commerce;

11.Serve as a networking hub for the needs of the DRC congregation and staff.
